I HAVEN'T SEEN RAYMOND CHEN FOR 32 ODD YEARS. When I found out from friends he lives in Beijing I was quite excited to want to meet up. Not knowing if he would welcome a "stranger" who dropped in to his town unannounced I did not call him on our first night in the city.
He sounded a little cold on the phone when I rang. I made sure he knew my nickname! Ha ha. Nothing to worry as it turned out. He welcomed us with open arms. We met for 2 dinners, 1 kok, 1 shopping tour, and made a trip together to my other dream - The Great Wall of China.
I appreciated his and his other half's time spent with us. I found Raymond friendly, considerate and helpful. Raymond if you are reading this .... let's do the foot massage sometime in Beijing again! You are a great host.....
