My Dad also gave me a copy of his class photo taken in the year 1947 (民国三十六年). He was 2o years old but was attending only year 9 in secondary school. Many of his class mates then were older than him and some were younger in age. They were put into the same class. They did not have a choice. The Second World War had just ended and schooling was not allowed during the war. They did not have much in life then but they made the best of what they had.
I did not know that. I had to write this down least I forget this amazing story.
