Today - 10858 steps (7.6km)
It is a familiar route for us .... Kul - Tianjin - Beijing. 11 June we depart for Tianjin at 8.30am and arrive Tianjin airport 2.25pm. We then catch an airport bus from the bus stand right outside the arrival hall, to the 天津站。 From there 北京 is only a 25 minute high speed bullet train ride that only costs us RMB 66 per person.

At 4.30pm we arrive 北京南站然后打D去 Raymond 的家。 In his foresight Raymond has given me a detailed instruction on sms - 宗文区磁器口地铁站往东50米进入辅路在人行天桥路口停东。Later when I arrive at the designated place of stopping I would find out that 辅路 means "side road".
After settling in we are taken by Raymond and Xiao Zhang to have 北京烧鸭。 今晚的晚餐是在北翔风胡同内的 LI QUN 利群烤鸭店.
It is a wonderful dinner. Not only is the roast duck succulent the restaurant atmosphere and Hutong surrounding is to me, quite an experience. I love that it is quaint, somewhat lost in its own charm. The restaurant is quietly unassuming with its old world charm. It is quite unusual and surprisingly un-Beijing i.e. straight-jacket upmarket joints or simple low-down stalls.
晚餐过后 and many photos later Raymond 带我们去扶近的前门行人街逛逛 plus a bit of shopping.
All in all a good day's trip and a very nice dinner + leisure walking ....
