北京2

Today - 30043 steps (21.0km)

This urn is one of many. It was used to store water for use in the event of fire. In other words for fire fighting.

This display looks like a metallic item but in fact is wood.

The Emperor used the "pagoda" on top of this man-made rock hill to 赏月。

So much for the visit to the Forbidden City.

Today's itinerary is a little relaxing as we are not rushing. The pace allows us to settle in and also find our feet in this city of nearly 30 million people.

The 贵州菜 is no question the highlight of the day where we relax over friendship and drinks and enjoying the beautiful food and in the company of each other. That seems like a fitting description of what travel should be in my books.
