Diving + Springvale

This is a very rare occasion .... my boss John wants to go visit one of his old accounts in Laverton North with me in relation to a new sale.Yipee. That is like saying the sale is like 99% done. John is 58 and will be retiring when he turns 60. So he tells me. Life is short and he's had a couple of really scary experiences involving the BIG "C" word; one as recent as a few years ago.

John's a keen diver and likes to spear fish and lobsters for human consumption. He's been doing that since he was 14 y.o. He tells me when he retires he hopes to drive his Landcruiser and tow his caravan around Australia using the coastal route and stops whenever he wants and stays as long as he wants. then he's gonna dive and fish and eat off his catch. The big question he has is:- CAN HIS WIFE DO THIS WITH HIM? Boy, that's a tough one. For his sake I hope his "dream" works out .....

John wants to buy a diver's mask today so he can get eye prescription correction incorporated in the mask. We stop by Lagendary Skindiving in Brunswick on the way back to our office to select and purchase his mask. I am impressed by the extensive range of products available at this shop .... wet suits, spear guns, fins, weights, tanks, blades, gloves, buoys and so on. It seems like a lot of fun to skin dive or scuba dive. I never got into this hobby but I am sure he is as passionate about diving as I am into flying .... EXCEPT he gets to eat his catch and my hobby costs me $3 a minute every time I hire a plane!

SM does not feel like cooking dinner tonight so we go for our favorite PHO (Vietnamese beef or chicken noodle) at Pho Hung Vuong on Balmoral Ave, Springvale; next door to the NR Reid Real Estate agency. I also have my hair cut in Springvale because the service is good, it's fast and it only costs me $10. No complaint at all from me.

Some variation of the norm - I don't normally take photos of girls' legs except when it is Summer (and the girls are in shorts or skirts) and the girls do not mind me doing it. Hahahaha.

SM always goes for the chicken pho; but with beef stock

My option of pho - beef slices, beef balls and sausages

I forgot to include this photo of "Hokkien Mee" cooked by Ling for us for our dinner some nights ago .... No offense to Ling, of course, that I cannot compare this to the KL 新青山阿华福建面
(I Heart Hokkien Mee) because two significant and important ingredient are missing here .... 猪油 and 猪油榨.

But I applaud her for being thoughtful for cooking us this dish .............

I can say that the dish is not bad at all, much better than what I can produce.
